Training Courses

Education Bradford has evaluated its SEN training for the period 2004/05.  As a result, a tiered multi-level model has been developed for 2005/07.  This approach has been ratified by the SEN Strategy Group.

Evaluation of training delivered since September 2004 indicates a strong preference for bespoke training within individual or clusters of schools, rather than centrally based courses.  Therefore, almost all the courses will be delivered at the request of schools or families of schools by negotiation with the LSS teacher.  A small number will be run centrally as indicated in the CPD for SEN document.  Please see the attached document for full details.

Using The P Scales

QCA has produced the above guidance pack, including a DVD for teachers in mainstream and special schools, SENCOs, assessment co-ordinators and headteachers.  The pack can now be ordered through the QCA orderline (reference QCA/05/1589).
